The Kidur Whisky Butter card holder is also made from vegetable-tanned bull neck leather. Assembly and finishing are carried out in France, at Plainelière de Courlay, by our leatherworker Corinne.

Manufacturing: We use vegetable-tanned leather. This natural method remains the oldest and transforms hide into leather from plants, bark, roots, and leaves. The tannins coat the hide to strengthen its strength and make it rot-proof. This technique allows for the natural irregularities of the hide and creates a unique patina on each Kidur card holder.

Originally, the hides were immersed in vegetable baths for several months. Today, vegetable tanning still follows this slow process and is mainly developed from concentrated plant extracts.

The collar is located between the cow's neck and shoulders. This highly stressed area gives the hide wrinkles for a unique leather appearance.
