Based since its creation in La Plainelière de Courlay, Kidur is linked to its territory, Deux-Sèvres, and more generally to the Bordeaux region.
Kidur, a story of encounter
While filming Comme son nom l'indice , we met Clément Brouzes. A Bordeaux native with a passion for mechanics, he preserves the soul of the Motobloc factory. Committed to local expertise and manufacturing, we are delighted to support him in promoting 120 years of human and mechanical history.
An attachment to Bordeaux
Known above all for its vineyards and its heritage, Bordeaux was also a center of automobile production in the 1930s.
A manufacturer of cars, boats, motorcycles, mopeds and various complex objects, Société Anonyme des Automobiles Motobloc was founded in 1902. Located in the Bordeaux Bastide district, the company affixed the three-crescent logo to the grilles of its vehicles from the very beginning.

Today, this logo remains the city's emblem, better known as the "Chiffre" of Bordeaux. These three crescents represent the meanders of the Garonne River. Through its logo, Motobloc demonstrates its commitment to its region and the city of Bordeaux.
A human and mechanical story
At the origin of the engine block principle, it was this know-how that propelled the reputation of the motobloc. This innovation transformed the entire automotive sector. Still present on current cars, this block combines the engine, clutch, and gearbox in a single housing.

With over 1,500 employees in the 1950s, the Motobloc company's workers focused on the quality and technological innovations of its various models. The reliability of their production was undeniable, as they demonstrated by participating in various Grand Prix and Rallies.
Car production remained local and artisanal, before falling into oblivion in 1961.
The Renaissance
At the origin of his passion, Clément Brouzes acquired a Motobloc S4, one of the last models produced by the manufacturer. Passionate about car restoration, he spent several months restoring the vehicle.

It was during his research into the history of the Bordeaux brand that he fell under the spell of this sleeping beauty. Clément, a history and mechanics enthusiast, preserves and brings the brand's heritage to life by renovating vintage cars and collecting historical items.
Kidur x Motobloc
The Kidur x Motobloc jacket is the result of Kidur's first collaboration. It was launched in Bordeaux to celebrate Motobloc's 120th anniversary. Together, we've taken a vintage Kidur piece from the 1950s and created a unique piece that reflects our two worlds: authentic, elegant, and functional.
Woven and crafted in France from cotton denim, the Kidur x Motobloc jacket is designed to be timeless and unisex. Made in a special 120th anniversary edition, the Kidur x Motobloc jacket is embroidered and branded in the manufacturer's colors.
