Kidur's Safre jacket is a revisiting of an essential piece of traditional workers' wardrobe. Kidur drew inspiration for the Safre from a historic piece made by the company in the 1960s.

Our team has worked hard to make it more contemporary, while maintaining the strength, durability and protection required of workwear.

The Safre is at the heart of Kidur's savoir-faire, a solid, durable garment that draws its essence, functionality and elegance from a century-old French workshop.

Manufacturing

Fabric :robust 390g/m² Moleskine, made from organic cotton yarn.
What is Moleskine?

Origin : Woven in the Vosges by our partner TELATEX.

With over 160 years' experience, Telatex specializes in raw and natural materials. We are committed to quality in the textile industry.

Advantages : La Safre was designed to be a garment that lasts. The garment's assembly favors the use of double-needle double-drive to ensure the best possible solidity.

The selected yarn is cotton and of a higher gauge than standard. Stop stitches on tension zones and buttonholes with dense eyelets complete the garment's resistance.

For the 41 Safre, we've selected an unscratched moleskin. Its extremely tight satin weave gives it a soft, thick and particularly robust feel.

Interview:

  • The 41 Safre Jacket develops a patina over time, becoming more beautiful with use.
  • Before the first wash, soak the jacket for 1 hour in cold water with a glass of white vinegar. This will fix the color.
  • Machine wash at 30°C maximum.
  • The spin cycle in the washing machine should not exceed 600 rpm to avoid white marks on the color.
  • Ideally, air-dry your jacket immediately after washing. Do not tumble dry.
  • Iron at medium temperature (150°C), always with steam to moisten the fiber.
  • You can limit the number of washes by airing it out on an outdoor hanger, as the 41 Safre Jacket is not a piece that should be worn next to the skin. The fabric will hold up better over time if you space out the washings.

  • Stitched open collar.
  • Closure with four curved raw brass buttons, eyelet buttonholes reinforced with locking stitches.
  • Rounded, double-needle plated pockets, reinforced at the opening with bias stitches.
  • Handle tip.
  • Inside pocket on left side of jacket.
  • Sleeve cuffs with reinforced slit, adjustable buttoning and bias buttonhole.
  • Traditional double-needle and chain stitch with 100% cotton thread.

Other countries: Free delivery on orders over 200€. Otherwise, you will be asked to pay €25. 

Return shipping costs

You may return any unworn and unwashed product ordered from the kidur.fr website within thirty days of the date of delivery for an exchange or refund. Returned products must be accompanied by the original or a copy of the purchase invoice. Kidur will cover the cost of returns and/or exchanges.
