Clothing manufacturer Kidur revisits the trench coat, distant heir to the Macintosh: the RG Limestone.
Made from recycled, durable, water-repellent fabric by English weaver Ventile. A functional and elegant rain jacket.
Like the rest of the Kidur collection, RG Limestone is made at the historic Plainelière de Courlay factory, and is certified Origine France Garantie.

Ventile recycled cotton twill is a high-performance fabric perfectly suited to outdoor garments. Its history dates back to the Second World War, when it was developed in the UK to meet the needs of the British Army.
This material is made from a dense weave of cotton. The remarkable feature of Ventile fabric is its natural ability to repel water. On contact with water, the fibers expand to form an impermeable barrier. The manufacture of Ventile requires rigorous craftsmanship, resulting in a high-quality fabric that meets the most exacting standards. The waterproofing and resistance qualities of this fabric are achieved by a mechanical process and without the use of chemicals.
Advantages :Very tight weave. Water-repellent. Lightweight and breathable. Natural (no chemical treatment).
Interview : We recommend that you take your RG to the dry cleaners for maintenance.
The performance of Ventile fabrics is based on the properties of cotton fibers, which expand on contact with water. The combination of fiber yarns and weave creates a uniform expansion. This allows the fabric's interstices to close, preventing the passage of water. Ventile claims a water column resistance of 300 mm, meaning that water will only penetrate the garment after 30 cm of rain... However, we haven't tested it to that extent, so it's up to you!
Ventile is made from the finest extra-long-staple cotton yarns, woven in a highly compressed plain weave. This type of 100% cotton weave combines two cotton threads braided together to give the material incredible strength and the highest possible density. Ventile's specific know-how produces materials 30% denser than similar weaves.
It's the fruit of 5 years of research. We conceived the RG as a straight, elegant and functional garment. Its comfortable cut evokes the heyday of the raincoat.
We named our coat after Tintin's father, the Belgian cartoonist Georges Rémi (RG/Hergé). Tintin is a lover of trench coats, and this reference quickly caught on with the whole team.

For orders of Kidur products in stock. Delivery time is 2 to 3 working days in metropolitan France after the day the products are dispatched by our services.
Metropolitan France and overseas territories: Free delivery on orders over €150. Otherwise, you'll be asked to pay €5. You can also pick up your order directly at the factory and discover our workshop.
Europe: Free delivery on orders over €175. Otherwise, you will be asked to pay 15€.
Other countries: Free delivery on orders over 200€. Otherwise, you will be asked to pay €25.
