The Kidur Naturel belt is made from vegetable-tanned bull croupon leather. Assembly and finishing are carried out in France, at La Plainelière de Courlay, by our leatherworker Corinne.
With its 4 cm leather width, the Kidur belt is a must-have for men's wardrobes. Its nickel-plated Steel roller buckle is made to last, ensuring daily support.
We use vegetable-tanned leather. This natural method remains the oldest, transforming hides into leather from plants, bark, roots and leaves. Tannins coat the hide to reinforce its strength and make it rot-proof. This technique leaves room for the skin's natural irregularities, giving each Kidur belt a unique patina.
Originally, hides were immersed in vegetable baths for several months. Today, vegetable tanning still follows this slow process and is essentially developed from concentrated plant extracts.
All the hides used to make Kidur belts have undergone no chemical treatment and come from cattle originally destined for food use.
Tannerie Sovos Grosjean has been processing heavy cattle hides in the Vosges since 1864.
Victor Grosjean starts a corroierie in 1864. Oak tanning began in 1875. His son Auguste developed the integration of the process with river work, tanning barrels and pits inside...
Ceinture Naturel develops a patina over time, becoming more beautiful with use. After several months of daily use, the color of the belt becomes darker, as in the third photo.
To ensure that your Naturel Kidur belt lasts as long as possible and acquires a beautiful patina from wear and tear, we recommend regular use of our maintenance kit to clean and nourish the leather.
